Qlix is an independent fashion publication that celebrates ALL emerging talents and concepts within fashion. Inspired by the unconventional formatted publications in various global markets, Qlix’s “mag in a bag” format with multiple inserts and fold outs is definitely what sets itself apart from the traditional “flip-about” fashion publication. Qlix not only provides a highly portable and collectible publication, but encourages reader interaction with the content, thus not only building a cohesive community between the reader and the publication, but providing a kinesthetic experience to the reader.
Qlixmag.com is the digital component of Qlix magazine, which extends the interaction between reader and content from print to the online format. Providing a more interactive display of the type of content within the magazine, via Qlixlist, QlixTV, DISSUE, and the photo gallery.
When asked what is it that she hopes for Qlix to accomplish, editor/publisher, Tenisha Anderson, states, “What I hope to accomplish is that whenever our readers pick up Qlix magazine or read the blog, they become inspired/motivated by what their peers, people just like them, are doing. Inspiration doesn’t always come from the top of the totem pole. I feel when you see what your peers are doing and that people are taking notice of that, then hopefully it will motivate you to do the same. That’s what Qlix is all about.”
